Resize by pixels or percent

Enter a width or height and the other side follows to keep the proportions, or unlock the ratio to set both. Percent scaling resizes a batch of different-sized images by the same factor. Images are never upscaled beyond their original size unless you turn that on, since upscaling only adds blur.

Common sizes

The presets cover the sizes people ask for most: full HD 1920 px wide for web and email, 1080×1080 and 1080×1350 for Instagram, 1200×630 for link previews, 1280×720 for YouTube thumbnails, and 800 px for product photos. Pick one, then adjust.

Resizing and file size

Halving the width quarters the number of pixels, so a resize usually shrinks a file far more than any quality setting. If the goal is a smaller file rather than specific dimensions, the compress tool's maximum width does the same job with a size target.

Quality of the result

Downscaling uses the browser's high-quality resampling, which averages source pixels rather than dropping them, so text and edges stay clean. Output as PNG to keep every pixel, or JPG/WebP to keep the file small.
