Compress PDF
Shrink scanned and photo-heavy PDFs by 60–90% for email and upload limits. Three strengths, size shown before you download.
Runs in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
How PDF compression works here
Each page is redrawn as a JPEG at a lower resolution and put back into a new PDF. For scanned documents and photo-heavy files, that cuts the size by 60–90%. Choose Light, Medium or Strong depending on how small the file must be, and check the size shown before downloading.
What changes
Pages become images, so text can no longer be selected, searched or copied, and very small print may soften at Strong. Links and form fields are removed. If you need those kept, the file probably is not a scan and a text-based PDF is usually small already.
Email and upload limits
Medium gets most scans under the usual 2–5 MB email limits; Strong is for portals that demand under 1 MB. If a file is still too large, split it and send in parts.
Your files stay on your device
Every PDF operation here runs inside your browser with an open-source PDF library. Files are not uploaded, there is no queue and no size limit beyond your computer's memory, and closing the tab removes everything. That makes these tools safe for bank statements, contracts and ID documents.
